The best B&B we have stayed in. It is worth visiting alice Springs just to stay at Nthaba B&B, nestled in the MacDonnell mountain ranges, yet close to the city. The beautiful Olive Pink Botanic Gardens are just around the corner. Will Cormack is a knowledgeable and very keen bird expert, with access to some of the best aquatic bird sites in the region, and is generous in sharing his knowledge with his visitors. The accommodation comprises a suite of rooms - a private sitting room, a comfortable bedroom, a separate bathroom, all backed up by sublime breakfasts, and a sunny garden with welcoming chairs which serve as a viewing spot for cute little zebra finches. Anne and Will made us feel so at home that on our return from Uluru we cancelled out city hotel booking and stayed with them for a further two days! The Parrys (Cape Town) March 2011
Alice Springs, in the heart of australia's aboriginal outback, is a must-see for travellers. Its pioneering history runs parallel to legendary dreamlines, its community spirit infectious. Geology, botany and birds came as an extra surprise package to our luxurious stay at Nthaba Cottage,an attractive and peaceful B&B; where accomplished, charming hosts (& now old friends) Will and Anne Cormack went the extra mile for us.Max (Mira Loma, California) September 2008
Anne and Will are wonderful hosts. They welcomed us with ice water and wine and info on finding birds. The self-contained cottage is perfect for a couple with a library of books about birds and natural history of the alice and NT. The gardens are beautiful. Sitting on the patio in the early evening sipping a glass of wine, I saw 3 new species and 1 new subspecies. Birding should always be so easy! Anne and Will freely share their knowledge of where to find the best birds and wildlife. Tearing ourselves away, it is an easy walk to the nearby Olive Pink Botanic Garden and easy drive into the CBD. Perfect!Jane & Douglas, Scotland: Thank you for the best we have had in Australia.
